Do you provide warranties for your services?

✅ Workmanship Warranty

  • We offer a limited warranty of 12 months or 20,000 km (whichever comes first) on labour and workmanship for repairs and services performed by BT Mobile Automotive.

  • This warranty applies only to the specific work carried out and does not cover unrelated faults, parts, or components.

  • Warranty claims must be reported to us as soon as the issue is discovered. We reserve the right to inspect the vehicle and assess the claim before any repairs are made.

🚫 What Voids the Warranty

Your warranty may be voided if:

  • The vehicle is misused, neglected, or overloaded

  • Repairs or modifications are performed by another person or workshop

  • The fault is unrelated to the work we performed

  • Faults arise due to pre-existing conditions, worn parts, or customer-supplied components

  • The vehicle is used in off-road, racing, or non-standard conditions not disclosed at the time of service

🔧 Parts Warranty

  • Parts supplied and fitted by BT Mobile Automotive are covered by the manufacturer's warranty, typically 12 months (unless otherwise stated).

  • We do not offer any warranty on second-hand parts or parts provided by the customer.

  • If a manufacturer rejects a part warranty due to misuse, wear and tear, or other conditions, BT Mobile Automotive is not responsible for replacement costs.

📌 Important Notes

  • Warranty work must be carried out by BT Mobile Automotive. No reimbursements will be given for repairs made elsewhere without prior approval.

  • We are not liable for any breakdown-related costs, including towing, loss of income, rental vehicles, or inconvenience.

How do I book an appointment?
You can book an appointment by filling out our online form or giving us a call. Our team will schedule a convenient time for our mobile mechanic to visit you.

At BT Mobile Automotive, we offer free call-outs within the Blackwater area – there’s no extra charge for us to come to you. However, a minimum labour charge of 1 hour will always apply.

For all jobs outside of Blackwater, a travel fee will apply. This fee is calculated from Blackwater to the job location.

  • All work is performed with care, skill, and in accordance with accepted automotive standards. However, BT Mobile Automotive is not liable for any unforeseen issues that arise during or after service, especially with older, poorly maintained, or previously modified vehicles.

  • We do not guarantee successful diagnosis or repair in all cases. Some issues may be intermittent, electrical in nature, or hidden from view, and may require further investigation or specialist equipment not available in a mobile setting.

  • Mechanical or electrical faults may develop further or change during inspection or repair. Components may break due to age, corrosion, brittleness, or prior damage — especially plastic clips, hoses, wires, or fittings — and BT Mobile Automotive will not be held responsible for such breakages.

🔍 Diagnostics Disclaimer

  • Diagnostic work is carried out using professional tools and techniques. However, not all faults can be accurately or immediately diagnosed without extensive testing, time, or parts replacement.

  • Some vehicle systems (e.g. intermittent electrical faults, CAN-bus issues, sensor errors) may require multiple visits or workshop-level diagnostics. There is no guarantee of a one-visit solution.

  • Diagnostic fees cover the time and tools used, not a guaranteed fix. If the cause of the problem is inconclusive, the diagnostic fee still applies.

🛠️ Repair & Parts Disclaimer

  • BT Mobile Automotive is not responsible for failure of customer-supplied parts, second-hand parts, or parts installed by other workshops.

  • If we identify a part as faulty, we may recommend replacement even if the part appears functional, to prevent future breakdowns.

  • We reserve the right to decline installation of parts we believe are unsafe, incorrect, or incompatible with your vehicle.

  • Vehicles with prior wiring alterations, non-genuine components, engine conversions, or off-road modifications may behave unpredictably. We are not liable for incompatibilities or resulting faults.

  • All quotes are estimates only and may change upon inspection or during the repair. Pricing can be affected by:

    • Additional faults discovered during work

    • Extra labour time

    • Changes in parts cost or availability

    • Unexpected complications

  • Any price changes will be discussed before proceeding. No work is carried out without your approval.

  • Quotes do not include potential follow-up visits, non-related repairs, or parts that were not visible during initial inspection.
